Choosing the Right Terrier

Choosing the right terrier Dog breed can be a fascinating adventure. There are so many types of these bold and independent, although very loyal dogs that almost everybody can find one they like.

The Airedale a real partner for someone who has enough space and time, the Airedale can be a good option.

This dog is called “King of Terriers” and not without good reason. Its proud look and courage can charm anybody who is looking for a dog too be their future partner.

However, the Airedales will not be the best option for a family with young children, for it may involuntary hurt them during play. On the other hand, it gets along very well with teenagers.

Boston Terrier's can be a good companion for the elderly maybe grandma. Although terriers are considered very active dogs which need a lot of exercises to be happy, there are some exceptions to this rule.

One of them is the oldest American non sporting breed the Boston. This so called “gentleman's dog” loves to stay on the couch for many hours and feels good when its owner is around.

That's why when choosing the right breed for older people, the Boston should be number one to consider.

Border terrier a dog for your child many young parents have difficulties when choosing the right terrier breed, for they are afraid that so active and independent dogs will need constant supervising while playing with children.

Fortunately, terrier family is so big that we can find dogs which will be good and safe friends for our young child. One of them is Border terrier although when we speak about a little bit older children, Cairn will be just as good.

These two breeds are very patient with our young ones and love to do tricks. When you add their loyalty and courage to this, we'll understand that it's them who should be the perfect comrades of our child.

Unusual terriers for unusual people some of us want to be different. When choosing the right terrier breed to their surprise they can find that there are more than a few breeds which will satisfy them.

For those people who have allergies, the American Hairless may be the best way of having a dog.

And those dog lovers who want to have a unique pet should consider such breeds as Nihon teria, one of the rarest terriers in the world, or the Bedlington terrier – a dog which looks rather like a lamb, not a dog.
