Still, this dog is not a toy, but a happy if overly independent companion. Because of its loyalty and courage, it can be a perfect guardian dog, it is also much calmer with children than other terriers.
What's more, it can learn very fast and usually needs much less repetition than other terriers.This is why we should consider the Border Terrier as an excellent working dog.
Despite its small size it is more than capable of doing virtually anything you may want from a dog.
